Once upon a time, a water bearer in a small village carried two pots to fetch water every day. He hung them on a pole across his shoulders and walked down to the river.
One pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. The other pot had a small crack. By the time the water bearer reached home, half the water had leaked out.
For two years, the cracked pot felt ashamed. It apologized to the water bearer, saying, “I am broken and useless. Because of me, you don’t get the full amount of water.”
The water bearer smiled and said,
“Look carefully at the path tomorrow.”
The next day, as they walked back, the cracked pot noticed beautiful flowers blooming on its side of the path. The water bearer said,
“I knew about your crack. So I planted flower seeds along your side of the road. Every day, you watered them. For two years, I’ve picked these flowers to decorate my home. Without you, this beauty would never exist.”
Moral of the Story:
Sometimes, our flaws create unexpected beauty. What we see as weakness may be someone else’s blessing
